Morgan's Two Year Check Up

This morning we went to Lake Country Pediatrics to see Dr. Kastner for Morgan's two year check up.  I was a little slow to get this scheduled, but at least I was only weeks late this time rather than months late. 

Her appointment went really well.  Morgan was a little quiet, but did a great job answering Dr. Kimberly's questions.  There were no big issues, no big revelations from the appointment which is good thing.  Morgan is right on track and we need to just keep doing what we are doing.  Good to hear!  And Morgan got away with no vaccines today... lucky girl.  But we will have to go back in about month to get her Polio and Hep A vaccines (since she was just over 19 months old at her last vaccines and since we have to wait 6 months from then to get the next round). 

So here are our little girl's stats (she is still our "Little Peanut" somewhat)...
Height - 33 inches (22nd percentile)
Weight - 24.5 pounds (19th percentile)
Head Circumference - 18.75 inches (51st percentile)

She is staying right on target with the growth charts - these were nearly the same percentiles from the last few check ups.  So the doctor thinks she has found her path.  I'm just happy she is healthy and a happy little girl!  She is my sunshine! 

Here are a couple things you might like to know about Morgan these days...
- She adores her big brother and will do nearly anything for him.  Even when Jackson is rough with her or gets in trouble for fighting with her (which does happen!), she is the first one to be at his side to make sure he is okay and to comfort him.  Pretty sweet!  She is a little mommy!  And she loves to do what he does - so if he plays cars, trains, or Legos, she wants to too (at least for a little while). 
- She loves dolls and taking them "shopping" in her shopping cart.  She will go buy groceries, books, cars, or whatever item she finds with them.  She also loves wrapping them in blankets and rocking them while singing "Rock a bye baby".  So cute!
- Morgan is an amazing sleeper.  She lays right down to bed and never fights us on the issue of nap time or bed time.  And at night, she never gets up (unlike her brother) until morning. 
- She is our little singer.  She breaks out into song quite often... and especially at lunch time.  But quite frequently, I will hear her at her kitchen singing a song she learned at the library story time or from one of the Y classes.  Don't know what triggers her to sing, but she really enjoys it.  She will also sing in church... the Alleluia right before the Gospel is her favorite one. 
- She has a wide array of facial expressions... you never know what you will see next.  So funny!
