Lego Club

The first Wednesday of each month, our library hosts Lego Club for one hour after school.  It is a great way for local kids to come and build... The library provides the Legos (tons of them) and the kids provide the creativity.  The librarian usually has a theme for them so they can get the creative juices flowing, but the kids don't have to stick to the theme.  This past Wednesday was the first time we had gone.  The kids loved it!  I think it will definitely be on our calendar from now on!

It is hard to see but Jackson found a sarcophagus in the
Legos.  He showed it to Miss Betsy right away, using the
correct word (and not being told by anyone else either)...
She was in shock at his vocabulary!  Loved the look on her
face!  Reading pays off!
Morgan found a Lego "book" piece.  So since we were at
the library, she made a bookshelf for the Lego man holding
the book.  It is crazy the cool pieces you discover mixed
up within the millions of tiny pieces.
