Rockford Visitors

This past Saturday, our long-time family friends from Rockford, Bob & Lynn, came to visit us.  My Dad and Bob were in the Air Force together some 40 years ago.  Bob & Lynn are a wonderful couple and are truly an extension of our family...we love them dearly!  It is great being back in the Midwest so we can see them a little more often.  We figured the last time we had seen them was five years ago when we were back for our friends' wedding in Chicago.  Too long!!  They hadn't even met the kids yet - Only seen pictures!!  They arrived while the kids were napping, but as soon as Jackson got up, he asked where our friends were.  Then he proceeded to ask both Bob and Lynn if they would like to play with him.  It was so cute!  It was like he had known them forever.  Morgan warmed up quickly too.  She tends to be a crank after naps and she was completely the opposite... going right to Lynn when she picked her up and sitting up on Bob's lap for some reading.  Loved it!  It was a wonderful afternoon and evening!  Thanks Bob & Lynn!  Can't wait to make the hour and a half journey to Rockford to visit you now.

Sadly, I didn't get many pictures though.  We were too busy chatting and catching up - which is really better than snapping photos the whole time!
