Santa & Shopping for Carter

Since Carter's due date was so close to Christmas, we have found that a great way for us to honor his memory during this time (which I won't lie, can be a very emotional time) is to do a little shopping for the kiddos that are spending Christmas in the hospital.  We take our kids shopping on Carter's due date and they each pick out a couple toys that they would want to give to another child their own age.   Then we head to Children's Hospital of Wisconsin to deliver them.  Unfortunately, we don't get to see the children who receive them, but we know they are well loved and brighten some children's days.  We also make it a point to visit Santa while we are out too... the kids' letters were already sent, so Santa knew what was on their lists, but it is always nice to just check in with the big guy!
