Testing Another Stable

Before we signed Morgan up for any horse riding lessons, we checked out a few options.  One of the stables I visited was Equitate on the north side of Oconomowoc.  It is a very reputable stable and they were very willing to get to know us.  Before leaving after touring their farm, the owner offered a free lesson for Morgan to see how she would like riding.  Well, not to sound cheap but for the cost of lessons at any stable, I wasn't going to pass up a free lessons.  They really are a great stable, but they are farther away (taking a good 25 minutes to get to) so we have decided not to go with them.  But Morgan had a great time (at least according to Tom since he took her) yesterday at her lesson.  She rode a horse named IRS.  I thought that was funny!  ;)  Tom told them that she had taken two lessons at another stable, but otherwise she is really totally new to riding.  The instructor was surprised that she had only had two lessons at this point - that she was already so good for her size, age and experience.  They said where ever she took those lessons, they did a great job with her.  That was a great thing to hear!  Five minutes into the 20 minute lesson, the instructor said she wasn't sure what to do next because Morgan had done everything already that she planned to do in the 20 minutes.  Morgan had so much fun... She wanted to go back again and get to know IRS better... Unfortunately/Fortunately, we are sticking with our first stable and she is okay with that.  It is good to experience things from different places.  Thank you Equitate and IRS!
