Washington "Cousins" Visit

While we were gone on vacation, I received a message from some very good friends of ours, the Wentes.  They were going to be in Green Bay shortly after we got back from Maryland and were hoping we could meet up for a day.  Of course we'll meet up!!

We joke that they are our "cousins".  Ironically, we met the Wentes when we lived in Seattle when we were involved in Marriage Encounter weekends through our church.  Through chatting with them, we learned that Tim grew up in Sioux City and actually had family that lived in Ponca... actually my family doctor growing up was Tim's cousin.  Such a small world!  We knew some of the same people and frequented many of the same places growing up.  So they became our adopted cousins when we lived in Seattle.

They are such a blessing in so many ways.  They are an amazing couple and their story is such an inspiration to our marriage.  We were so glad we were able to see them on their visit to Wisconsin, even if it was only for an afternoon.  And we were so sorry that Sarah, their oldest, wasn't able to be there.  Hopefully we'll see her on their next trip.
