Yeah for company cars!! Tom had taken a new position with Eaton on the Cooper integration team back in August 2013. One of the bennies with the new position was a company car. Oh, how we have missed company cars since our move from Seattle to Wisconsin. Unfortunately, Eaton only orders new cars at one point in the year - that window is usually from October to November. For some reason it was later this year and it was more like January. But once the order was in, it didn't take too long to get the new wheels. He opted for the Chevy Traverse.... plenty of room for all us to ride in comfortably. It arrived the end of March and we have been enjoying it ever since.
I have to say, the little Ford Focus (that I bought new right out of college and that my parents so wonderfully took when I got a company car back in my Kansas City days) did Tom well when we moved to Wisconsin... at least most of the time. If nothing else, it saved us from going from no car payments to only one car payment when we moved. Thank goodness!! Now our nephews back in Nebraska will get the joy of driving the little thing around to all their high school functions.
