Jackson's 4K Christmas Party

We made it through one Christmas program and a snow storm Thursday.  Friday it was Jackson's turn to celebrate with his classmates.  At the beginning of the school year, I volunteered to bring popcorn for the party, so Friday morning Tom and I set to work on that.  We got Jackson off to school at 12:30 and then about an hour later, we all left to go to his school.  I was shocked when we pulled into the parking lot - it was packed. So many parents and family there for all of the grades' celebrations.  Jackson was lucky to have Daddy and Uncle Mikey also make it to the party! 

Jackson's class started with a book exchange... the boys sat in one circle; the girls in another.  While they sang a Christmas song, they passed the books around the circle.  When the song was done, they got the book in their hands.  Jackson received a cute Little Critter book about a snowman for his classmate Logan.  After their book exchange, they sang some songs and then did their centers (basically three tables set up with different activities - this is their normal routine each day).  But Friday's centers were special... one table was sugar cookie decorating, another table was for making candy cane ornaments out of pipe cleaners and beads, and the last table was to make red and green pasta necklaces.  The kids had a blast with all the activities - and even Morgan was able to participate.  To wrap things up, Mrs. Seraphine read a story to the kids about a gingerbread pirate.  Before leaving, Jackson gave his gifts to Mrs. Seraphine and Mrs. Head... then it was time for Christmas vacation to begin!
