Pre-Christmas Break in the Dells

This past weekend, Tom's parents treated us to a little pre-Christmas get-away.  They had points to use-or-lose with their time-share, so they let us use them to take the kids to the Wisconsin Dells.  We were all so excited for the little get-away - even though it was only going to be 48 hours away from home.  We stayed at the Glacier Canyon Lodge in the Wilderness Territory area of the Dells...AWESOME!  Our little condo had two bedrooms, two baths, a nice living room, three TVs, a full kitchen, and a washer/dryer (not that we used it).  We had access to four indoor water parks, a huge indoor play structure/playground, and tons of little shops and restaurants - all on the Wilderness Territory property... Plus much more that we couldn't fit in while we were there.  We left after Jackson got out of school on Thursday and came back home Saturday afternoon.  Let me tell you, we played our hearts out and we were all exhausted!  We rode the slides, floated the lazy river, played in the huge wave pool, and just enjoyed!  We ate one dinner out and were able to cook the rest of our meals at our condo.  We also sat through one of the time-share sales pitches (yuck!) so we could get some free stuff - dinner was paid for by Wyndham, plus a $50 American Express gift card!  So all said and done, we only spent $15.00 and a tank of gas!  We've decided that this is a perfect get-away for our family and a short little stay is perfect too... maybe one more day would help so we didn't fit so much into the little time we were there.  We are definitely going back though!!  Thanks Granny & Pup Pup for our little vacation!  And thanks to our neighbors for watching Madi for us while we were out of town!
