Granny & Pup Pup's Christmas Visit

Last weekend Granny and Pup Pup made a quick trip to Wisconsin so we could celebrate Christmas with them.  We had originally planned to be in Pittsburgh for Christmas this year, but plans changed all the way back in the spring when we learned that there was a new grandchild due December 31 (Tom's sister Jenny is expecting!).  So Granny and Pup Pup are heading to Nashville for the holidays and for baby's arrival, and thus their timing for visiting us.

We celebrated by relaxing at the house, opening gifts, a nice dinner at Burke's, and visiting Santa.  We were so glad they could come to see us.  I know it made the kids happy to spend time with their grandparents...and Tom and I love seeing them all together.  Thanks for visiting us and for all the wonderful gifts, Granny and Pup Pup.  Can't wait to see you again!

Morgan's new quilt made by Granny.  This technically wasn't a Christmas present...
just happend to get delivered at Christmas time!  So beautiful!
We can't wait to get her big bed so she can start using it!

Jackson got a new bike...which was actually a hand-me-down
from our good friends Kate and Aidan.  They live in Pittsburgh now so
Granny and Pup Pup delivered it for us.  Now for spring to come so we can
start working with him.  Fingers crossed that we won't need training wheels.

Another "not really for Christmas" gift.  Pup Pup made Morgan a cradle for
her dolls.  I think he had planned to make this last Christmas and then he had to
have hip surgery, so this project was delayed.  Thus, she received it now, but
it was really for last Christmas!  Make sense?  :)

And Granny made a matching quilt for her dolls too!

Choo-choo!  We received a "watching train"!  That is a train that you watch and
don't touch or play with - as explained to the kids.

Watching....

and watching!!

Yes, our son is in shorts.  He takes after Daddy!  Not sure
what was so funny here, but I love the smiles on both Granny
and Jackson.
Time for gifts - Sunday afteroon's agenda.

Cool!  Lightning McQueen remote-control car.

On the other side of those boxes are dress up magnetic dolls (kinda like paper
dolls but heavier duty).

Morgan's new hat.

New dress coats and hats... Pretty stylish!

A little family picture for Granny's Christmas card.
Making some ornaments...

Morgan's turn.

Granny painted the kids, so the kids had to have a turn painting Granny!

Thanks again Granny and Pup Pup!  We had a great time!  Come visit us again soon!
