Happy Birthday America!

Yippee for the 4th of July!  We had a great holiday weekend...sad that it had to come to an end.  Tom completed the patio, we got to know our new neighbors a little more, our friends - Matt & Caroline and their family - came to visit us from Chicago, we played in the sun, and even took a boat ride on Lac La Belle Lake.  Here is our jam-packed weekend in pictures...

Saturday... Tom worked on the patio and the kids played outside with our new neighbors' boy, Rig.  They had tons of fun playing on the swing set, digging in the sand and dirt, and running through the sprinkler.

Sunday... Matt, Caroline, Patrick, Joey, and Grace came to stay with us.  We enjoyed a little cookout on the deck, margaritas, and a fire on the new patio.  Unfortunately Caroline and I missed the fireworks in our neighborhood since we were trying to get kids down for bed....we heard them, saw the flashes...but didn't actually see them.  Matt and Tom said they were pretty amazing for a small neighborhood display.

Monday... We enjoyed a big breakfast and then headed outside to play a little more before the Sirmon family had to head back to Chicago at noon.  After naps that afternoon, Jackson and Morgan played in the sprinkler and the new Slip 'n Slide.  As were were heading in to get dinner ready, we got a call from our friends, the Wilson family.  They just bought a new ski boat and had it on the water.  They invited us out for a couple hours of fun on the waters of Lac La Belle.  The kids loved it!  But we were all exhausted after the day was done.
