Family Time in Pittsburgh

Last week, Tom's mom celebrated a milestone birthday. So to help her celebrate, our family, Jen's family, and Mike all made the trip back to Pittsburgh for some family time, a nice dinner out, and a little party. Unfortunately we couldn't make it into town until Thursday afternoon, but Jen, Ricky, and Ryder were all there earlier in the week to celebrate on her actual birthday. Mike also arrived into town on Thursday...and he had a special guest with him come Friday night. We all got to meet his girlfriend Ashlynn - super sweet girl! We are so excited for Mike. Here are just a few of my favorite pictures from the weekend plus I posted others on Picasa. Enjoy! Some pictures are ours, others I stole from Joni and Don. And also...there is a whole series of pictures in the Picasa folder from our dinner out where everyone is either making cheesy smiles or the pictures are of the floor or primarily the table...those were taken by Jackson.

Happy Birthday Granny!  So glad we could celebrate with you and we could spend a wonderful weekend with the family!

The Family - Enjoying time in the backyard watching the kids stay cool!

Morgan trying to get a worm.
I  picked up the worm for Jackson...leading to mischief.

Jackson showing the worm to Ryder. It later made its way to Granny's foot!

Bonkin'!

Another worm pic.

Friday morning the boys (Don, Tom, Ricky, and Mike) took the kids (Jackson, Morgan, & Ryder) to Soergel Farms... a cute little farm, garden store, craft store, etc.  They had fun playing in the wooden play town, petting animals and riding a tractor.

The kids were put in jail!  Sure glad the boys all had enough money to bail them out!

Uncle Mike makes a pretty cute girl!

Taking the Incline to dinner!  In the 9 years I have been going to Pittsburgh, this was the first time I had taken the Incline!

Granny & Morgan posing before dinner - I think they coordinated their outfits!!

Taking the Incline back down the hill - aren't they cute!

Madi wasn't too big of a fan of Bump - Jen & Ricky's under-one-year-old golden retriever.  The last night Bump and Madi were together, we found them wrestling on Don and Joni's bed!
Saturday morning cartoons in their jammies.
Tailgating...or maybe it was really picinicing...before a Pirates game Saturday night.

We even got to see our good friends Kate and Aidan while we were at the game.  Their friends from Seattle (who we also know), Dawn and Rick, were also visiting them.  So nice to see them even though it was a short catch-up.

One more picture before the night was over.  Sadly, the Pirates lost, but we got to see an amazing fireworks display after the game.  The kids loved the evening!!
