Happy Independence Day (a day late)! We just returned from a great family vacation with the Neuberger side (more to come on that in a future posting) and we were able to celebrate our country's independence with our neighbors here in Snoqualmie. So happy to be able to do that too - it is so much fun and the fireworks display by our neighbors could rival the Seattle Lake Union display. And Tom loves to get in on the action too - buying mortars and a variety of stuff that goes BOOM. Morgan loved the fireworks - so cute watching her get excited with each explosion. Jackson, on the other hand, wasn't so sure about them this year. He liked the ones that lit up, but if they had a big boom, he would say, "That's too loud!" He did great despite his reservations. And both he and Morgan had fun doing sparklers with the neighbor kids. Unfortunately this year's celebration was very cold and rainy... summer just doesn't want to come and stay in Seattle this year. But we all managed to have some fun despite mother nature's rain showers. Today was a bit better, so I dressed the kids in their red, white, & blue again and took some more pictures of them enjoying homemade popsicles on the front porch. Enjoy the pictures.
