Take Me Out To The Ball Game!

I'm a bit behind... sorry. Would you believe that life is busy for us right now?! Ha, ha, ha!

Tom, the kids, and I managed to get away for a week (June 26 to July 3) to vacation with the Neuberger Family in San Diego. What a great time and a welcomed break from the craziness of relocation stuff! I will say, we went from one type of craziness here in Washington, to another craziness though... seven adults and three kids (under the age of 3) all together in two 2-bedroom condos was nuts & loud! There is never a quiet moment with the Neuberger Family!

I have lots to report on from that week, but this post is focused on what may be my favorite memory we created on this trip - Jackson & Morgan's First Major League Baseball Game! Thanks to Uncle Ricky's great connections in the sports world, he scored us tickets to a San Diego Padre's game against the Colorado Rockies. Our seats were right along the first base line; we got a tour of the stadium; and the kids scored lots of goodies (stuffed backpacks from Ricky's connection, baseballs from admiring fans around us, and then souvenirs from Tom & me). The game was a night game, so we weren't expecting the kids to last long, but they all did great and made it to the very end of the game. Jackson was completely engrossed in the whole atmosphere - the game, the players, the fans, the vendors, the food. It was so cool to watch him take it all in! Uncle Mikey was teaching him about the game and the proper way to eat peanuts at the ball park. So much fun! The pictures & video here are from our awesome evening!
