Honey-Do List

Thanks to the lovely economy, Tom has this coming week off. Eaton made all employees take a mandatory week of time off without pay some time in the months of March, April, or May. So this is Tom's week and I have a lengthy "Honey-Do" List for him to complete while he is off.

We have decided that we would move the kids into one room... maybe we are crazy, but we think it will be good for them while they are young. And since our house is only a three bedroom, this will still allow us to have a guest room. Currently, Morgan's crib has been in our bedroom. And Jackson's room is the smaller of the two other bedrooms. So we are switching the guest room to Jackson's room and moving the kids in the the larger guest room. Hopefully this will be a wise decision. This means redecorating to accommodate a boy and a girl though. We moved out furniture and Tom started painting this weekend. We should have the room all put together and ready for them by Tuesday (keep your fingers crossed).

Once the kids' room is set up, we will start to painting the new guest bedroom. The new guest room will also serve as a TV room and a play room of sorts for the kids. I'm going to be sad to see Jackson's room changed... no more stars on the walls. Tom went to a lot of work getting that room ready for Jackson, so it will be a little sad to move him out of there. Good memories in that room! That room should be a quick paint job though - there is wainscotting in the room, so it is half the walls to paint.

Along with the redecorating, the weather has been nice, so there is the much needed yard work to be done. In between waiting for coats of paint to dry today, Tom mowed and planted a couple more things in the garden. It is all coming along nicely.

And if there is any spare time this week, he hopes to fit in a round or two of golf before he heads to Texas on Thursday. His buddy, Jamie, is having a bachelor party this coming weekend in San Antonio. I think he is looking forward to seeing all his old friends. And while he is gone, Jackson, Morgan, and I will be having fun with my Mom in town. She gets in just hours after Tom leaves. We can't wait for her to come and play for a few days!!

Thursday will be a busy and exciting day too. Besides taking Tom to the airport and picking up my Mom from there, we will also be anxiously awaiting a phone call from our brother-in-law, Ricky. Tom's sister, Jen, is having her baby that day! We can't wait to have another little baby in the Neuberger family!

I'll close for the night...sleep is calling us. But I'll leave you with a couple of pictures from this past week. And I'll be sure to keep you posted on how our week turns out. I'm sure our "Honey-Do" list won't get fully checked off, but does any one's list ever really get completed?
