Granny & Pup Pup Come To Wisconsin

Yay!  We had our first official visitors since we have unpacked in our new home.  Tom's parents, Joni & Don, came in for a long weekend last week.  We had a great time with them and wished they could have stayed a bit longer. 

Highlights of their trip:

• We spent Saturday at the Elegant Farmer in Mukwonago - a farm with a little specialty grocery & bakery, an apple orchard, a pumpkin patch, hay rides, pony rides, and just fun stuff for us on a nice fall day.  We all had a great time picking apples.  We came home with a bushel of a variety of apples - all of which I have yet to get cut up and frozen.  We have been enjoying them as snacks throughout the week though.  We also got a pumpkin pie while at the Elegant Farmer and I made fresh whipped cream to top it. 
• Sunday was the Steeler game, of course.  We were fortunate to be able to go to our neighbor's house to watch it.  Then Tom and his dad also made trips to Home Depot and Menards to start on a little project for the house - a built-in bench in our entry hallway.  It will look great when it is completed (hopefully soon)! 
• And then Monday, they headed back to Pittsburgh.  But the kids and I enjoyed spending a few extra minutes at the airport terminal watching for planes with Granny & Pup Pup and seeing them off. 

We can't wait to see you guys at Thanksgiving and come back again soon!
