Jackson's First Concert

Friday, August 29, marked a big day for Jackson - he turned nine months old and experienced his first concert. We made our annual trek over the Cascade mountains to the Gorge Amphitheater in George, Washington to see The Dave Matthews Band. DMB is a favorite of ours and the three day concert event that they put on every Labor Day weekend is awesome. People come from across the country to see them at this beautiful outdoor venue...everyone camps out and has a great time. We only went for the first night of the concert series though. We weren't sure how Jackson would like it, so we opted for only one night. Another favorite band of ours, O.A.R. opened for Dave... they also put on a great show.

It was a hot day, so Jackson cooled off with a little water. He is also showing off his special new shirt that was just for the concert - A Dave Matthews Band onsie!! (picture above)

He also enjoyed a little snack (picture above) before we made our way from the camp grounds to the Amphitheater. He had his own special seat on daddy's back too! (picture below)

On our way to the show, he made a new friend named Olivia. Olivia is 11 months old and was taking in her first concert too. (picture below)


Jackson had a quick nap right before the concert started (picture above) and was then awake for the first half of the show.

And lastly, here is a video clip that we found to be quite cute and funny. It wasn't from the concert, but I just had to share. Jackson was having a snack a couple weeks ago after playing in the neighbor's kiddie pool. He was a little tired...
