Well as many of you are aware, Eaton required all of its employees to take one week furloughs four times this year, basically one per quarter. It was the company's way of dealing with the tough economic times without having to let employees go. Since both Tom and I work there, it made for a few tough months, but the extra time off was somewhat nice too. We just took our last one last week... Hopefully there won't be any more furloughs in 2010. We picked the first week of the quarter so that we could hopefully enjoy some nice weather while we were off. And I have to say, we picked a good one. All last week was filled with beautiful crisp, sunny fall days. Actually starting this Sunday, it was like a faucet was turned on and the rain started coming down in buckets. We really lucked out. So during the week, we enjoyed some time around the house, the neighborhood, the pumpkin patch, and the local attractions. I even started to do some birthday shopping (tons of October/November birthdays) and Christmas shopping (don't be mad that I started early this year). It is so nice being home with the kids. At the Salmon Hatchery in Issaquah - the salmon are in full spawning season right now, so we saw thousands of salmon coming up Issaquah Creek towards the hatchery. Jackson loved the fishies!
Taking a walk around the neighborhood - Jackson loves the new wagon and especially pulling it around with Morgan riding in the back.
At the Mt. Si Nursery in North Bend where there is a pumpkin patch - We are getting ready for Halloween!
