At the beginning of June, we made a trip back to Pittsburgh to visit Tom's family and to go to his best bud, Jamie's wedding. Considering our travel woes at the holidays, we were all a little leery about how this one would go, especially now with two children en toe. Overall, the kids traveled great and we had a wonderful trip. We spent a day with some of Tom's extended family - including one of the newest additions, Mia. She is Aunt Chris and Uncle Larry's 8 week old boxer. Isn't she just the cutest?
We spent an evening at Kennywood amusement park. Jackson wasn't too big of a fan of the rides. And in reality there weren't many that he could do, so I guess it was good that he didn't want to do them. He was completely content watching Tom and I (and all the people) as we rode the roller coasters and rides. We did manage to get him on the carousel and a car ride but he didn't enjoy them all that much. The carousel was a little to fast and loud for him. And I'm not sure what he didn't like about the car ride, but he held on tightly to Tom the entire time.
Jackson also loved the aquarium at the zoo... we probably spent the most time there. Here is a cute video of him while seeing the fish.

And at the end of our week, we left the 'Burgh and headed to Ligonier, PA for Jamie and Sara's wedding. Ligonier is such a pretty little town - I'm glad we had a couple days there to see the area. And the wedding and reception were beautiful! They had the reception at the Rolling Rock Country Club... one of the oldest clubs in the US. It was wonderful day for a wonderful couple. And while in Ligonier, we also enjoyed catching up with all of Tom's friends from childhood and high school. So great seeing everyone!
We can't wait to go back and see everyone again! Here is a link to more pictures & videos from our trip...
