Birthday Party!

This Saturday, November 29, will mark Jackson's first birthday! Where has this year gone? With his birthday falling on the weekend of Thanksgiving, we decided to celebrate a little early with his party being held last Saturday (the 22nd). We had a great time! In all about 45 people (adults and kids) packed into the house to help us celebrate. Jackson is obviously a little boy loved by many! We are so blessed to have friends, neighbors, and co-workers that we can call our extended family. And Jackson had a couple very special visitors for his party as well - Grandma and Grandpa Knudsen made the trip all the way from Nebraska! It was so great to have them here and they were a lifesaver for me with all the party preparations. And Jackson just loved all the extra attention he got while Grandma and Grandpa were here! It was hard to see them go, but luckily we'll see them again at Christmas time. Here are a few pictures from the weekend and the celebration.

Grandma Neuberger knitted Jackson a sweater as one of his gifts. How talented is she!?

Cake Time! Jackson dug right into his cake after all the singing was done.

The family: Tom, Jackson, and me

Jackson starts to dig into his other cake! Grandma and I made a train cake for him. He loved the coal car filled with jelly beans...

...And he loved the lumber car that was filled with Twix logs!

Time to open presents! We did this on Sunday though - Saturday was just too full of a day and Jackson was beat by the time all the visitors left.

Enjoying time with Grandma & Grandpa.

Plus, here is a video from cake time.

And as always, more pictures are available on the Photoworks site. Here is the link to all pictures from the weekend...
